Lead Abatement
Lead abatement involves lead-based paint abatement activities such as inspections, risk assessments, and removal that must be performed by certified professionals and are aimed at permanently eliminating lead-based paint hazards from the home environment and any facility with frequent visitation or occupancy, particularly those built before 1978.
Some of the numerous residential lead-based paint removal processes used by our licensed lead abatement professionals are; Encapsulation, a procedure in which a special liquid coating is applied to all lead-contaminated surfaces to create a long-lasting and effective barrier that prevents lead dust particles from being released. Removal which involves scraping, stripping, cleaning, and blasting lead-based paint from contaminated surfaces. Replacement which is the simple removal and replacement of solely lead-contaminated objects, such as lead-painted doors and windows.
Since Lead can enter the body via working or living near lead-based paint, as well as from contaminated lead particles floating in the air of an affected structure, it is critical that buildings with lead issues be taken care of as quickly and safely as possible. This will in turn improve the health outcomes for both children and adults by reducing developmental abnormalities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder-related behaviors (ADHD), anemia, hypertension, and kidney and even brain damage.
